Oregano is an herb with olive-green leaves and purple flowers. It grows 1-3 feet tall and is closely related to other herbs, including mint, thyme, marjoram, basil, sage, and lavender. Finding its origins in Mediterranean food, oregano, also called wild marjoram, is now used in a number of dishes in Turkish and Mexican cuisine as well. Commonly used in Pizza, Pasta, Garlic Bread and many others.
